Hi John,
I am honored to submit my story of HOPE after I first heard your story several months ago when I was listening to the cancer summit given by Jeff Hays and Dr. Patrick Gentempo. I was very inspired by your talk about how you and your wife helped your father-in-law heal from brain cancer. It made me cry when you said your wife, Corinne had died from pancreatic cancer. You see, my husband was diagnosed July 18, 2019 with esophageal cancer that metastasized to his brain. We were shocked at the diagnosis because we were living a very healthy lifestyle. We thought how could this be happening.
He had the brain tumor removed and went through several months of low dose chemo and radiation. We were very hopeful and he did very well considering. I was doing some heavy-duty research and trying to learn anything I could that possibly would help him. I came across the summit and became very interested in cannabis and CBD. I wish I would have known about it from the start. In April of 2020 his CT scan showed no abnormalities. His oncologist said it was a miracle. We were ecstatic and so grateful and so relieved. We had attributed his healing to our healthy diet and lifestyle.
Well, in September 2020 the cancer came back with a vengeance, so we started the cannabis and CBD and incorporated much of what I had learned in my research. None of it helped to heal him, although the cannabis and CBD helped tremendously with the pain so he did not need to use the prescription pain meds.
On October 27, 2020 my best friend, soulmate, and heart song passed as I held him in my arms in our home.
I tell you my story because learning about and using cannabis and CBD for myself has helped me cope. The grief can be unbearable, as you know. I still have a lot of learning to do and I very much appreciate your podcast and YouTube channel. I want to learn everything I can about cannabis.
So thank you for helping people learn about a beautiful, helpful and healing herb called cannabis.
