A number of years ago, my doctor recommended I use medical cannabis as part of my HIV treatment regimen for its anti-inflammatory properties and appetite enhancement. I have since learned that HIV patients started the medical marijuana movement in California, and we should all be grateful to them. Cannabis also helped me with pain and insomnia.
While I started out using recreational cannabis in high school during the late-1980’s, I have been using medical cannabis for nearly 20 years now and truly appreciate its benefits, as it helps counter the side effects of the pharmaceutical products I use. I worked for Big Pharma for years, and while I’m not a doctor or scientist, I have learned how to use it responsibly and am thankful for all of the medical cannabis benefits.
I have a close friend who works in the cannabis industry and he introduced me to cannabis concentrates a few years ago. Since then, I’ve learned to really appreciate their benefits in treating my condition. While proper use takes a good understanding of what works for me and the effects you can expect, for me, concentrates are quick acting which helps to alleviate pain and inflammation from my regular sports and other activities (basketball, tennis, running, etc.).
Also, thank you to United Patients Group, for having me on your e-mail distribution list and sharing your expertise and experience in the medical cannabis field.
