In the early 80’s, I discovered the relationship between dental health and overall health. It was not until 1991, however, that I took the issue very seriously. It was at that time that I began implementing Bio-energetic testing or meridian testing into my practice. I immediately saw a connection between a patient’s dental health and their overall health issues.
The conclusion? The more fillings and root canals a person had, the more serious the “dis-ease” conditions were in their body.
I also discovered that there are two main ways that your teeth affect your health:
The Chemical Impact
Let’s discuss the chemical aspect first. To begin with, did you know that those “silver” fillings in your mouth are 50% elemental mercury? Mercury is the most toxic element on the planet. Even a minute amount of exposure to it is very dangerous. If you have “silver” fillings in your mouth, every time you brush your teeth, chew or eat something warm, you are releasing methyl mercury vapors into your oral cavity that will be absorbed into your body.
Mercury toxicity impacts every system in your body in the following ways:
1.) It poisons your endocrine system by focusing on the thyroid and adrenal glands in particular;
2.) It impacts your mental and emotional health because it is a neuro-toxin;
3.) It affects your digestive system because it mixes with food and goes down the digestive tract;
4.) It can cause inflammation through chronic exposure (remember that inflammation is the underlying cause of many dis-eases, including cancer)
5.) It greatly impacts your Immune System through increasing the presence of ANA antibodies in the bloodstream, among other things.
When it comes to Breast Cancer, there is an emerging class of estrogens that can potentially increase your risk. They are called metallo-estrogens and are specific metals such as mercury, aluminum and nickel. These metals are found in “silver” dental fillings and can add to the estrogen burden of breast tissue. In fact, a 2011 Canadian research team found a significant accumulation of heavy metals in malignant breast tissue.
And in a study published in the Environmental Toxicology Magazine, mercury significantly stimulated the growth of Breast Cancer cells.
Another serious chemical assault to your body comes from root canals. In a nutshell, teeth with root canals are dead tissues that begin to drip very toxic anaerobic bacteria into your body immediately after the root canal is in place. This bacteria can suppress your immune system and increasing inflammation. A cancer clinic in Switzerland, the Paracelsus Cancer Clinic, found that 98% of Breast Cancer patients had one or more root canals.
The Energetic Impact
According to Chinese and other medicine systems that have been around for thousands of years, your body contains a distribution network of energy called the Acupuncture Meridian System. This life energy (or chi) travels along the meridians and through every organ and corresponding tooth. If there is metal in a particular tooth, or if there is a root canal, its presence can impact the flow of energy for that particular organ.
For example, the 4th and 5th teeth from your center tooth (right and left, top and bottom) are directly connected to your breast tissue through the Acupuncture Meridian System.
